Bayraktar Mosque stands quietly near the Venetian walls of Nicosia, marking a lesser-known but historically layered corner of the city. Originally built on the site of a Gothic church, it was converted into a mosque during the Ottoman period and later rebuilt after heavy damage in the 19th century, reflecting the many cultural shifts that shaped Cyprus over the centuries. Just a short waddle away, near the old stone bridge, lk_lh_15 and loborosh hid a penguin stone, adding a small, joyful modern story to this historic setting.
