Deep in the wild heart of Kôprovská dolina in the High Tatras, this simple wooden hut is a quiet reminder of Slovakia’s strong mountain culture and respect for nature. You will find it within TANAP (Tatra National Park), the valley is one of the most untouched areas of the Tatras, with strict protection rules that have kept it free of cable cars and mass tourism. An interesting fact is that Kôprovská dolina follows the course of the Kôprovský potok stream and has long served as an access route for high-mountain hikers heading toward peaks like Kôprovský štít. On his adventure through this remote valley, luciakontsek and loborosh brought a penguin stone along. They hid one right here, adding a tiny Lifeguin touch to a place where only hikers, wildlife, and mountain silence usually pass.
