Jangtonggyo Bridge is one of the charming little crossings along the Cheonggyecheon Stream in central Seoul, a place where the city’s busy energy softens into the sound of flowing water. The bridge sits near several art installations and lantern displays that often appear during festivals. An interesting fact: the modern Cheonggyecheon you see today is the result of one of Seoul’s most ambitious urban restoration projects. The stream was once buried under concrete and an elevated highway, until it was uncovered and transformed back into a peaceful public space in 2005. And now, adding a tiny secret to this calm stretch, one of our penguin stones is hiding nearby, quietly watching visitors wander past the water.
