Toumpallos in Paphos, Cyprus, is one of the city’s lesser-known but fascinating archaeological sites. It’s an ancient Hellenistic-Roman sanctuary, thought to have been a sacred space for rituals and offerings. The site features the remains of stone structures and altars, giving a glimpse into the religious life of Paphos centuries ago. Its elevated position also offers lovely views of the surrounding area, making it a peaceful spot to explore. We stopped here while exploring the Archaeological Park and finally found a spot with a bit of shade. In one of the ‘rooms’, you might stumble upon a penguin stone we have hidden here to help guard the ancient site.
