The Roman Odeon in Paphos is a charming and well-preserved theater within the Paphos Archaeological Park. Built in the 2nd century AD, this small yet elegant venue hosted musical performances, poetry readings, and community gatherings, offering a glimpse into the cultural life of Roman Cyprus. Unlike larger amphitheaters, the Odeon’s intimate size allowed for better acoustics and a closer connection between performers and audience. A unique feature of the site is a small cave just above the Odeon that you can enter. Inside this hidden nook, the golden penguin stone waits, safely tucked away, adding a playful modern twist to this ancient spot. You have to squat and enter, and on the right side, you will find it.
