The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway Station Torii Gate in Nantou, Taiwan, is a striking red gate that welcomes everyone before they soar above one of Taiwan’s most scenic areas. Inspired by traditional Japanese architecture, the gate symbolizes the cultural blend found around Sun Moon Lake, which was once influenced by Japanese rule and is now one of the island’s most beloved tourist destinations. From this spot, the cable car glides over emerald waters and lush green hills, offering breathtaking panoramic views that perfectly capture Taiwan’s natural beauty.

The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway connects two major attractions: the Ita Thao Village and the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, making it both a scenic and cultural journey. And somewhere near this iconic torii gate, penguinananjiajia hid a penguin stone, buried under the dried grass, and a bigger stone to make sure it was hiding. It was fun to bring this penguin stone to other parts of the world and spread the love.
