Trexler Nature Preserve in Pennsylvania is a beautiful mix of rolling hills, forests, and open meadows, offering scenic trails, wildlife watching, and peaceful picnic spots. It’s home to bison, elk, and other animals that roam freely across its vast protected land, a rare sight in this part of the state. Interestingly, the preserve was founded by General Harry C. Trexler in the early 1900s to help save native wildlife from extinction. And if you’re visiting, keep your eyes open near the entrance gate, luciakontsek and loborosh hid a penguin stone there, adding a touch of penguin magic to this wild corner of Pennsylvania.
