Just outside the village of Hósvík on Streymoy Island, a quiet waterfall tumbles down the cliffs toward the sea, offering a peaceful stop along the coastal drive. Surrounded by lush green slopes and the ever-changing Faroese sky, the waterfall is easily visible from the road. It makes for a refreshing stop on your journey. While it may not be the tallest or most dramatic in the Faroe Islands, its charm lies in the simplicity of the setting, where the sound of rushing water blends with the call of seabirds and the soft hum of village life nearby. It’s a reminder of how seamlessly nature weaves into everyday life in the Faroe Islands. We stopped here for a while and could not resist leaving a penguin stone behind.
