On the hike from Trøllanes to the iconic Kallur Lighthouse, you’ll pass a weathered stone wall that seems almost like a gateway to another time. Built from rough local rock, the wall once served as protection for sheep and a marker against the fierce Faroese winds sweeping in from the sea. An interesting fact is that such dry-stone walls, common across the islands, are often centuries old and have been maintained by generations of farmers as part of village life. Thanks to luciakontsek and loborosh, this particular wall holds a small surprise — a penguin stone now rests here, waiting to be discovered by curious hikers who pause along the trail.
