Kľak (1,352 m) is one of those must-do hikes if you’re exploring the region around Prievidza. It’s a classic in the Slovak hiking scene, with two main approaches: either from Fačkovské sedlo or from the village of Vrícko. The trail from Fačkovské sedlo offers sweeping views throughout the ascent. At the same time, the path from Vrícko has a special bonus: a hidden waterfall along the way, where magical friends left a penguin stone #556. The summit rewards you with panoramic views over the surrounding landscape, but be warned, it’s a popular spot and can get pretty crowded. That’s why they chose to place penguin stone #535 just below the top, at a peaceful lookout spot where you can take a break, soak in the beauty, and enjoy a bit of quiet before (or after) the final push to the summit.
