Škocjan Caves Regional Park is in the Škocjan Karst, a vast flat landscape that lies at an elevation between 420 and 450 m in the southeast part of the Karst area. This exceptional system of limestone caves comprises collapsed dolines, some 6 km of underground passages with a total depth of more than 200 m, many waterfalls, and one of the largest known underground chambers. The caves are also part of the UNESCO Heritage, and they should be. We never saw more impressive caves. We waddled through the caves, which had three major stops where the tour guide gave us some information. We left the stone at the second stop. Once again, you will have to go on your knees to find it. We tried to put it in a space where it would not interfere with the universe the cave is but become part of it. The GPS didn’t work as we were underground, so we waited for the stop where the tour guide would tell us that we were not under the parking lot; this was where the stone was. Though, we believe we will never find it, even if we return. It became part of the cave now. But good luck searching 😅. Also, it’s not allowed to take pictures inside, so we have no more clues to give (meaning the pics below are from the internet).
