Omišalj is a village in the bay of Rijeka, visible from all parts of the city. Situated at 85 meters above sea level, on the northwestern part of the island of Krk, it overlooks the almost three-kilometer-long bay. This kind of privilege was particularly interesting even for its prehistoric inhabitants, as Omišalj has existed for more than 10,000 years.
