The Castle Gardens in Český Krumlov, Czech Republic, offer a serene escape within one of Europe’s most enchanting medieval towns. Spanning approximately 11 hectares (27 acres), these beautifully landscaped Baroque gardens are part of the Český Krumlov Castle complex, which is one of the largest in Central Europe. An interesting feature of the gardens is the revolving theatre within the grounds, an open-air stage with a unique rotating auditorium that allows the audience to turn and follow the action across different settings, enhancing the theatrical experience. Initially established in the 17th century, the gardens feature elegant terraces, sculpted flowerbeds, statues, and a cascading fountain that enhances their grandeur, making them a tranquil yet vibrant cultural gem in the heart of South Bohemia. As we waddled around, enjoying a little bit of serenity, we found the perfect spot for a small penguin stone. Look for the fountain in the middle and the statue up top. It’s hiding a penguin stone now.
