Štrkovec Lake, located in the Ružinov district of Bratislava, Slovakia, is a popular recreational spot for locals and visitors. Originally a gravel pit, the lake was transformed into a vibrant urban oasis, offering swimming, fishing, and scenic walking paths. The area is surrounded by greenery, sports facilities, and cafes, making it an ideal place to relax or stay active. An interesting fact about Štrkovec Lake is that despite being an artificial body of water, it has developed a thriving ecosystem, attracting various bird species and aquatic life, turning it into a small but vital urban nature reserve. It is very popular to waddle around or run around, or chill. We waddle there often and had to leave a penguin stone behind. It is in one of the trees, inside its trunk, and fell deeper than we wanted. We still hope that you have a lovely time here.
