Gutenberg Castle is in the village of Balzers in Liechtenstein and is one of the country’s iconic historical landmarks. It stands tall atop a hill, and offers stunning views of the surrounding valley. It is also a prime example of medieval architecture in the region. An interesting fact about Gutenberg Castle is that its origins date back to the early 12th century, and the Freiherr von Frauenberg family initially constructed it. This noble lineage played a significant role in the area. Over the centuries, the castle has been well-preserved, and you can waddle all the way to the inside garden. However, if you want a tour, call the family first. We loved the location so much that we had to leave a stone behind. It is in front of the castle, close to the best views.
