Changuu Island is a small island 5.6 km northwest of Stone Town, Unguja, Zanzibar, Tanzania. The island is around 800 m long and 230 m wide at its broadest point. Changuu Island earned its nickname “Prison Island” due to its historical use as a detention center for rebellious slaves in the 19th century. Later, it was used as a quarantine station for yellow fever cases. Today, Changuu Island is known for its natural beauty and clear waters, and now a penguin stone awaits you there, thanks to the collaboration of Honza and Petra, who took it on their adventure.
