Piazza Cavour in Bologna is a small public garden with a couple of interesting monuments just south of Via Farini in the city center. It was created in the 1860s and dedicated to Camillo Benso di Cavour (1810-61), former Prime Minister and a leading figure in the unification of Italy. There is a bust monument of the Piedmontese Statesman and a statue of the late songwriter Lucio Dalla (1943-2012) that was added to the garden in recent years. You’ll also find park benches if you want to take a seat, rest your feet, and enjoy the small bird pond and green space at Piazza Cavour. It makes for a perfect place to chill and relax on a hot summer day. One penguin stone is hidden at one of the trees.
