Piran is a picturesque coastal town located on the southwestern tip of Slovenia. Piran’s history dates back to antiquity, initially settled by the Illyrians and later the Romans. The town flourished under Venetian rule from the 13th to the 18th centuries, which is evident in its stunning Venetian Gothic architecture. After World War I, Piran became part of Italy, later annexed by Yugoslavia post-World War II, and eventually became part of independent Slovenia in 1991. Once again, luciakontsek and loborosh took a penguin stone on one of their adventures and found a perfect spot for it.
