Within Palermo’s Parque Tres de Febrero neighborhood, a beautiful garden showcases over 18,000 roses encircling a lake and vast parkland. The rose garden is over a century old and has received the International Garden Excellence Award from the World Federation of Rose Societies. In addition to its roses, the garden includes a lake with a Greek-influenced bridge, an Andalusian patio, and a poets’ garden with 26 busts of famous writers. The land for this garden and the surrounding park belonged to the country house of Argentine president Juan Manuel de Rosas until he was defeated in the Battle of Caseros on February 3, 1852. The design work for the garden was started by French landscaper Charles Thays and completed by his disciple Benito Carrasco in 1914.
It is a truly unique waddle, and now, thanks to Daniel, a penguin stone also resides here.
