For this one, you will have to take a boat and a little hike up the hill, but don’t worry, apart from the penguin stone, you will be rewarded with a beautiful view. Located on the cursed island Lokrum next to Dubrovnik, Croatia, Lokrum Island can be a one-day trip, or it can be less. We decided to spend about half a day because the weather was getting worse and we didn’t want to be on a boat during a storm.
However, we can easily imagine being there for a whole day. There is much to see there on the island, and you can read more on our blog post here Lokrum Island, and you can find the penguin stone on the highest point of the island – the Fort Royal (96 meters (315 feet) above sea level). And the view you see will be worth it.
The island is also famous for its Game of Thrones original throne placed there.
You will find a bench there where you can chill and enjoy the view. Close to it is a tree, and hidden underneath a stone is the penguin stone.
